I did the damn thing!

It has been a while, but i just got through with a short run around the neighborhood and was inspired to write. I ran the Turkey Trot, now two weeks ago, and took first place in the Lady Athena division. No real big feat, but for me it meant a lot. I never got a trophy before! I also beat my last 5k time so that made it even better! I have been running three times a week, which is as much as i can fit in right now...but winter is here and i love nothing better than running in the freezing white morning!!!!

My Fun Weekend

Shopping was GREAT...spent too much money and ate too much junk. had tiramisu cheesecake at The Cheesecake Factory and it was pretty good! I ran 5 miles on Saturday morning with the Twins, it was great! We ran through Shadyside and did a loop through Frick Park on a trail. It was a beautiful day and i had a great time. It was nice to have a weekend to myself with the girls...but I am back at home with Bug now and I couldn't be happier. I missed my little guy. It should come as no surprise that most of the money spent was on him!!! LOL

Updates...

Well, last Thursday (the 1st) I went for a 12 mile bike ride through one of our State Parks...it was reallyawesome. I was also scouting the trail heads for the 36 mile trail that I plan to thru-hike in 2 days. They have shelters and tent sites so I can spend the night...I am looking forward to this awesome trip but I can't decide if I will tough it out in the winter or wait until spring. Sadly. I was pretty lazy from the 1st...although I did do a quick 2 miles of hilly roads around the neighborhood on Saturday. I was back out again on Tuesday and ran 3 miles on the bike trail. I also turned in my application for the Turkey Trot. More exciting, I am going to pittsburgh tonite with my Aunt and Mom to stay at my cousins' house and go shopping! The cousins are my beautiful twin cousins Leah and Lindsey and they are amazing runners. They recently ran the Great Race 10k, and Leah took first in the women's overall...becoming the first Pittsburgh resident to do so. I plan to run tomorrow morning with them, so I will let you know how it goes! Until next time...
